๐ello everyone, I hope you are all fine during this pandemic.
Past month I took a challenge to convert 5৳ taka to 5k . Now I am sitting to write that down to share my experience.
I wanted to begin with 500 taka, however, my friends insisted I start with five taka. I was not sure anymore how I was gonna make it happen
.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐: I hit the road early in the morning. Last night I planned to sell Newspaper. So I started looking for potential places and found a newspaper distributor who was already dealing with other sellers. I made my first investment on a cigarette with my whole budget of five taka and offered it to the distributor. I tried to befriend him and asked for some newspapers to sell…….. damn you won't believe how awkward it was
This incident seasoned me, now I probably wouldn’t even feel awkward to pull off my pants on a road …...... Anyways. ...
That distributor stared into my soul with a curious gaze
(he didn't take the cigarette yet). To break the silence I asked for 100 pieces of newspaper and shaken off my hand a bit (So that he take the cigarette at least
), he replied that it’d be 300৳ taka. Since I’ve already dried all my money I tried to persuade him with a helpless face and said I don’t have money right now, but I can sell them before noon and pay the price.
Without saying anything further he took the cigarette and pulled out a bundle of paper from his microvan. He handed me 60 pieces and asked me to meet him at the same place tomorrow. I did not expect him to be so generous, so I thanked him and started selling. And as promised, I managed to sell all the paper before 1 pm.
Thanks to the certain celebrity who got arrested. All the newspapers seemingly flew out of my hand. I was delighted with my performance.
But that joy didn’t last long because of pain in my leg, I was unable to fall asleep that night.
And for Day 1 I earned more or less 200৳ taka out of 5 taka.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐: After paying my due I started to sell again, but this time he gave me a popular newspaper. But still it took me an hour extra that day. I made approximately 350 taka.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐: The next day I paid my dues for the last day and thanked the distributor, I didn’t sell any newspaper that day. Because while I was selling newspapers on the railway station I met a vendor who buys books and magazines at cheap prices and sold them on the station. He showed me his sources and asked to sell somewhere else.
I made about 500 taka by selling newspapers. So I bought 5 old books in good condition with 200 taka. The actual value of these books exceeds 700.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐: I had to maintain my office. So I didn’t work that week. But I posted those 5 books for sale in various online marketplaces. I got a guy who wanted to buy those books at almost twice the price. That day I sold those books for 360 taka. And now then I brought some other books for 400 taka.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐: Same as before I was lazy to work but I intend to sell some newspapers again. I earned more or less 200 taka that day.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐: I paid my dues again and I walked around many places for some ideas to work on. I brought some books worth 100 taka that day.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐: I sold all my books that day for a profit of 400 taka. Now I have over 1200. I lost some money and bought two more books worth 200.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐: I bought a smartphone for 800 taka from an online marketplace.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐: I sold 2 books and earned 330 in total.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐: I sold the smartphone for 700 taka profit. And now I am flush with 2000 taka.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐: I bought another smartphone for 1200 taka.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐: I sold that smartphone for a profit of 800 taka.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐: I brought another smartphone 2000 taka.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐: And sold the smartphone with 2500 taka.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐: Bought some accessories from a 99 store. I spent 500 taka in that store. And I also brought another smartphone in 1200 taka.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐: It’s been 5 days and I have already sold the props. And I sold the smartphone for a total profit of 800 taka.
Now I have more or less 4100 taka in total. I was so close
and I was happy. I brought a hard disk and some new accessories again. Oh, I also brought an iPhone for 2000 taka. The total cost was 3500 taka.
๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐: In the end, I sold everything I invested in and made around 1000 taka profit. Then I ended up with 5100 Taka
